Mr. OK Jazz on German and Japanese Radio!

Some good exposure recently for Tokyo Jazz Site, but only for German and Japanese speakers! Late last year I was interviewed for a program called Musik-Cafés in Japan for Deutschlandfunk Kultur radio in Germany. The program explores the cafe as ‘A precious social space between work and home, “a home away from home”. This “third space” is neither home (first space) nor workplace (second space), but a place in between: It’s a place to just be.’  Presented in German with voice-overs for the English and Japanese interviews, but if you speak either E or J you can follow a bit.

I was also very lucky to be a guest on Shibuya No Radio, community run station located right next to Shibuya Station (in the same building as my regular DJ spot the Li-Po bar). Yoshinori Tonoura hosts the ‘Shibuya No Manaka’ program on Sunday mornings, and invited me to talk about life in Japan, Shibuya, being middle-aged, and my various music projects. In Japanese, listen at the Shibuya No Radio archive page
