Triple Standard are a Japanese trio consisting of leader George Nagata on piano, Daisuke Ito on vocals and Naoto Suzuki on guitar. I caught them recently at the Penang Island Jazz Festival in Malaysia and there were superb, a real surprise in how they reinterpreted some standards in interesting new ways.
