I was passing through Shinjuku on my way home last night when I saw this guy standing outside Starbucks, looking at his iPhone..it was Peter Brotzmann! He’s at the Pit Inn this week and stepped out to grab a coffee before the gig. Being the dorky fan-boy I am, I said hello and told him his gig at the Aketa-no-Mise last year was the best I had seen in years. We chatted amicably for a few minutes, I gave him my Tokyo Jazz Site card and then snapped this blurry pic. Viva Brotzmann!
