Ping-Pong DJ Vol. 10 – OK Jazz meets The Barakan Beat!

Saturday at Shin Sekai bar in Azabu I was Peter Barakan’s guest at vol.10 of his ‘Ping Pong DJ’ series of events. These are a kind of live version of his radio show where he and his guest play tunes back and forth while bantering about the music.

I’ve been listening to Barakan’s show for over 17 years so this was truly a great thrill for me, without question one of the highlights of the entire OK Jazz/Tokyo Jazz Site experience. Many thanks to Peter and Yajima-san from Wind Planning for inviting me.
