Genius is now at it's third location, after having been in Shibuya for more than 25 years. Increasing rents pushed them out (as happend to so many other jazz cafes..sob sob...) so they are now in sleepy Nakano-Shinbashi, a bit west of Shinjuku.

The interior of the new place is nothing special, but the unique thing about Genius is its incredible collection of vinyl, more than 7000 records in total. Even in the land of obsessive collectors, that is an impressive number. With a sterling sounds system and tasty coffee, Genius is place to spend your whole afternoon..and evening too, over a beer or three.
