About Tokyo Jazz Site

Tokyo Jazz Site (TJS) was born in late 2007 as a blog devoted to the hidden jazz world in Tokyo. Focusing on the smaller, less well known clubs, bars and cafes, slowly record shop information, musician profiles, photos from jazz events around town, and upcoming gig information was added. The blog was an immediate success and has since been featured in publications including the Japan Times, the Asia Wall St. Journal and The Tokyo Journal. In fall 2008 TJS founder Mr. OK Jazz acted as a consultant and was interviewed for the TV program "Jazz in the City: Tokyo", produced by and broadcast on Dutch national broadcaster NPS.
